I’ve just returned from an intensive 3 days at our annual CE Pride@BCG conference. It was great to connect with our members and nodes in person again after seeing most only via Zoom throughout the year. It was wonderful to strategize together, collaborate directly in person, learn from each other, and inspire each other.
During the event, I received this awesome award from our CE Pride@BCG leadership team. It left me speechless in the moment, which is a rare thing for me. Thank you so very much to all of you! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate this wonderful gesture!

Our Pride network at Boston Consulting Group holds a special place in my heart. Even though it is sometimes tough to align my full-time day job with all the extracurricular Pride activities I am involved in for Zurich, CE, and EMEA, being active in our network is majorly responsible for my being highly motivated and happy at work every single day. Being able to openly bring my full self to work gives me abundant energy to give back to my team in my day job as well as to the DE&I and Pride teams. The connections I make within our network give me a sense of belonging. The voluntary work gives me an immense sense of purpose and gives my life meaning. And, most importantly, it is just such a joyful thing to be an ambassador for diversity, equity, and inclusion. To be able to directly make a small difference. To help, mentor, make suggestions, share my experiences, whilst learning and growing all the time from others in the process as well.
I am immensely grateful for everything and just want to extend the biggest thanks to Pride@BCG and to BCG in general. I’ve been in the working world for 36 years now. I’ve worked all over the globe, in 11 different countries, and 4 different industries. Hands down, BCG is thus far the best employer I’ve ever had. Not perfect. Who and what ever is? There is still much we can do. There always is. But we are on a great path! I love how often I hear the question “how can we do better?” in our hallways. I love how many dedicated and enthusiastic people in our company care about being engaged for the greater good. Accountability, stepping up, and open-mindedness is where it all starts.
For my part, I will continue doing the best I can to be an ambassador for DE&I and Pride in general, in every day life, in my private endeavours as speaker and panelist, as well as through my work at BCG. I will always stand for human rights, the pride community as a whole, and for the transgender and non-conforming community.
Thank you again, with all my heart! And, dear Pride@BCG community, I’m looking forward to hopefully many more years of collaboration and to actively making a difference together!
